Guilty Biotech is a book about social design based on post-colonialism and the collective sense of guilt. The concept of guilt is a big theme of the exhibition to where this book was originally contributed to.

Because of the unique nature of the book, which functioned as a part of the exhibition, its main purpose wasn’t entirely to be read but also to be experienced. Anyone who ever picked up the book at the show must felt something different: this small red book weighs five kilograms.

In a rather straightforward manner of designing this book, we converted the main subject of the exhibition, guilt, into a physical weight. And the details of the book such as layout, titles, footnotes, and leather-like cover were adapted from the bible.
